How can I repay the LORD for all the good done for me? Psalm 116:12
The value of the gift isn’t measured by the size or the amount, but rather by the amount of spirit put into the act of giving.
Why Choose the Catholic Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee?
Thank you for your interest in our Catholic Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee. We are proud to help Catholics and other benefactors pass along their faith to future generations through endowment funds and planned gifts. It would be our privilege to assist you in conducting your philanthropy through our Catholic Community Foundation. We need to do God's will and that differentiates us. Your gift is used for God’s purpose.
There are almost as many variations on ways to make a donation as there are needs to be met. The information that follows will enable you to make informed gifting decisions that take into consideration your personal circumstances as well as the needs of your heirs.
Donate Now - Make a gift today to one of our Catholic causes or established funds. Use PayPal on our website for an immediate donation that will provide you with a current year tax deduction of the cash amount of your donation. CLICK HERE to see Catholic Causes established fund list.
Gifts of Appreciated Value – Give a gift of Stock, Art or Real Estate and get a current year tax deduction that is equivalent to its appraised value. This type of gift can be very beneficial to help offset higher tax liabilities created by a one-time surge in current income.
Donor Advised Funds – Make it easier to manage your donations. It's like having your own family foundation – without the hassle. The fund may be established by donating cash, or property. You see your fund statements, balances and request distributions to your charities online from this website – on your timetable.
Endowments – Establish an endowment to benefit Catholic causes that will last forever. The original principal of the gift is invested and earnings from the gift are used to benefit one or more of your favorite causes (such as your parish, school, or other Catholic organization) forever.
You may name a donor advised or endowment fund after your family or special cause with a minimum gift of $100,000.
Charitable Gift Annuities – In exchange for your gift, you can receive fixed income payments for the rest of your life – at attractive rates. You name the charity to benefit from your gift during or after your lifetime and receive tax benefits now. It’s a great way to give and receive at the same time! You have two choices:
Catholic Gift Annuity CalculatorCharitable Remainder Trust – Obtain a steady stream of income for you and your spouse during your lives while getting a current year tax deduction that will be the actuarial value of the corpus that is donated which could be more than your original investment when you donate highly-appreciated property (like farmland or stocks worth $100,000 or more) to this trust.
Charitable Lead Trust – Allows you to provide a steady stream of cash for your favorite charitable organization for life or for a certain number of years with great annual tax advantages, then, the corpus of your gift is returned to you or your heirs.
A Gift at Low Cost through Life Insurance – As life progresses needs change, and, as a result, not all life insurance coverage may be needed for the reason it was initially purchased. One of the simplest ways to make a significant gift in the future is to name the Foundation, your parish, or the Diocese to receive all or a portion of the proceeds of a policy no longer needed for its original purpose. Another way is to purchase a new policy, naming The Foundation as beneficiary or co-beneficiary.
Charitable Bequest: – A gift of assets (money and/or other property such as your home) that is made through your Will, Living Trust or other testamentary arrangement. No funds are transmitted or irrevocably transferred to the foundation or Diocese until after your death. Receive recognition for your generosity while you are alive – Join the Diocese of Nashville’s Legacy Society.
